Moving is always an emotionally difficult process—especially if you're an older fellow, like Orion the cat. Orion had spent all 16 years of his life in the same home. When he lost that home, he was taken in by the Homer's Heroes at Kitty Adventure Rescue League in Fort Worth, TX. Orion was a bit scared at first of his new surroundings—and spent an entire week hiding—but a little patience and a lot of love turned all that around.
"He lost his only home, and he's unsure of his new one, but he sure likes to sneak up and cuddle when you're taking a nap. Welcome home, Orion. We're happy to have you," Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League said.
Orion even made new best furiends with another old-timer, 18-year-old Britches, who welcomed Orion to the fold with cuddles and purrs.
It's beautiful to see how Orion has come out of his shell, now that he knows he's safe and loved forever. But Kitty Adventure League is facing some tough times, and may have to close their doors.
