A cat in the UK who has no nose is struggled for months to find a new home because of "his unusual feature," a re-homing center has explained.
The cat called Dave, who is already 14, arrived at the Bath Cats and Dogs Home in Somerset, England after its elderly owner moved into a retirement home.
The handsome tabby had to have the front of its nose removed a few years ago because of a cancerous tumor, but the staff claims it "doesn't affect him at all." Still, month after month, Dave was continually overlooked because nobody could see past his nose to his good, loving heart..
Rachel Jones, who works at the center, said that Dave was just looking for a "quiet retirement home" where he could "live the rest of his years in peace and quiet."
Since Dave's story went viral, however, the shelter has been inundated with requests to adopt Dave. "Someone's interested in adopting him so hopefully, if they're suitable, he can be adopted," shelter spokeswoman Zena Jones told Metro.co.uk. "We had quite a few enquiries about Dave after his story went public."
Differences only make a cat more beautiful--as we here at HiHomer.com know from long and intimate experience! Here's hoping that Dave gets to live the rest of his days with all the love and purrfection every kitty deserves!
