Rosinka the 16-year-old cat has a monkey on his back--literally! The patient puss is playing surrogate "mom" to Fyodor, a three-week-old squirrel monkey born in a Siberian zoo who was rejected by his own mother. The two were introduced by Rosinka's human mom, who is also the zoo's director. She brought Fydoor home after his mother refused to carry him on her back, and was surprised to find that Rosinka stepped up and took on the job himself. As you can see, Fyodor loves his kitty caretaker--and, judging by Rosinka's purrs, we're guessing he enjoys the snuggles as well. But no baby stays in the nest forever. In another few weeks, Fydoor will be reintroduced to other squirrel monkeys, and Rosinka can go back to his well-earned retirement!
